Insurance for the New Year & Resources

As the current year draws to a close, ABC would like to remind everyone that most insurance policies renew as of January 1st.
What this means for many families is that their deductible will start over.

This is what you need to do to be prepared for the New Year:

Don't lose your visits

The reality of the New Year is that many insurance policies will start over, resulting in the loss of your allotted current year visits for Occupational, Physical, and Speech therapy. ABC Pediatric Therapy would like to encourage you to utilize your benefits before they are lost. It is important to take advantage of every benefit available to you before they are gone!

Alternative Funding
There are alternative funding sources that many families benefit from to help off-set the cost of therapy services. Ask the
front desk for a pamphlet of information about these programs, and call the Billing Department at 866-448-9543 to
discuss your options.

Health Savings Accounts (HSAs)
Many employers offer Health Savings Accounts (HSA’s) to help off-set the cost of high deductibles. These programs help
many families manage their medical bills throughout the year. Check with your employer to find out if you have access to
an HSA or HRA account.

Ask questions!
If you know that you have a deductible, please call your insurance company to find out exactly what your deductible is
and if it is the same as the previous year. Understanding your insurance benefits can help you plan ahead for the new year. For
example, know what your visit limit is and make sure that you don’t go over. Tracking your visits is your responsibility.
Our Billing Department is able to help make sense of your insurance coverage. If you have questions you can call 866-448-9543 to speak with one of our Insurance Specialists.
