Employee Testimonials

Mike C.
Speech Language Pathologist
The clinical experience that I have gotten here at ABC has been incredible. My on-site mentor as well as all other staff have been amazing and so helpful- there is always someone around to answer questions or give advice for anything that comes up throughout the day. The caseload is extremely diverse here and I have gotten experience with a large variety of diagnoses and disorders. The play-based set-up and activity resources here (i.e. full sensory gym where we do most of our sessions, toy and game closets, small sensory rooms, etc.) make motivating kids the easiest part of the job. Rather than having to spend time preparing activities or materials, the majority of my spare time can be focused on learning/exploring my kiddos diagnoses and effective treatment methods for them. Cross-discipline collaboration occurs daily as well, so I learn and understand patient needs outside the scope of just my field.

Physical Therapist, Clinic Manager
Being able to experience all of the “firsts” with my patients and their families is beyond rewarding. I have worked with many of my patients for multiple years, and I feel like a part of their family. I’ve also become very close with many of my coworkers and their families, and have gotten to share in all of their exciting life events. I feel very blessed to have my entire “ABC family” – both patients and coworkers - that support each other, encourage one another, and have fun together.

Speech Language Pathologist, Clinic Manager
I love being able to help create a big impact in the lives of the families I serve each day. In other locations where I have worked in the past, I have not had the opportunity to interact with the families as much as I am able to do here. The ability to demonstrate how to carry over therapeutic techniques into the family’s daily routines so as not to increase their demands at home has been a joyful experience. Being able to see so many “firsts” for so many children is incomparable!

As a mother of three it is very important to me that my children come first. ABC makes an effort to help you create the schedule you want and need so that you can have a predictable and functional schedule for your family. As a therapist that has worked in multiple methods of being a service provider from schools, to skilled nursing and home health ABC has been the most predictable and therapist driven schedule I have yet encountered at this point in my career.

I love working at ABC because of the great community and environment we have to help foster learning and development. ABC is truly unique as we help children grow, learn, and achieve their milestones through play. We believe it is important for children to enjoy learning and to follow their lead. I love that we are able to have fun while working towards goals. Our collaboration with one another, the child, and their family helps to build a unique and personalized plan of care, working environment, and positive relationships with one another.

I became connected with ABC while I was in undergraduate school and have loved the culture from that moment. ABC allows me to be myself as a person and successful as a therapist. ABC means positive change to the lives of everyone involved – patients, parents, and staff. I am blessed to do what I love on a daily basis and be surrounded by awesome coworkers!
