Fitastic Families

The incidence of childhood obesity is three times greater than it was twenty years ago. With the rise in childhood obesity, the risk of diabetes, heart disease, and high blood pressure increases. Childhood obesity is an epidemic and we as health care professionals and parents have to take charge.

We have designed the Fitastic Families program in order to offer high quality family wellness services to the community. The program is a collaboration of a nutritionist/dietician, the child's primary care physician, a psychologist, and exercise physiologist/ physical therapist. The general outline of the program is listed below.

The Fitastic Families Program

The program consists of two programs.
